RESOLUTION OF THE MEETING RESOLUTION OF BETA 11/11/2023 ONLINE MEETING
The agenda of the meeting was Adoption of BETA activities. In that vein, several activities were suggested and we unanimously agreed on the suggestions below:
•Resumption of training meetings in different schools of Ouagadougou and other cities targeting teachers.
•Setting up local branches of BETA in the different provinces starting at Banfora.
•Organization of Online TEACHERS’ CAFE in order to offer a language practice and improvement opportunity to teachers.
•Training on Competence Based Learning /APC (hybrid or online)
•Online training by AFRICA ELTA: on how to find online teaching resources?
•NATIONAL ENGLISH DAY :
•Approach officials and diversify our partners (MENAPLN, US embassy RELO…)
•Meetings with trainee teachers at ENS
•MEETING WITH ALUMNI
•Outing to Ghana for a linguistic immersion
•Holding regular CPD activities (quarterly/ half-yearly)
•Playing our part in the teaching of English in elementary school.
•Helping underprivileged students prepare their exams. (community service by volunteer teachers)
Note: These activities are supposed to be implemented on priority, challenge and cost basis within the three-year mandate.

•Membership fees and cards
We reiterated the need to be more active in the collection of the membership fees and urge to take actions regarding the membership cards.
•Interactions on the platform
It was agreed that BETA board members should avoid arguing with too much with other members on the largest platform.
The meeting came to an end at 7:35 pm.
